BlueSquare Data defies market trend with continued growthBlueSquare Data, rapidly positioning itself as the pre-eminent provider of world-class data storage for the UK market, has defied market expectations of cutbacks and redundancies by announcing continued growth and employment at its Maidenhead headquarters. Just as the Association for Computer Operations Management (AFCOM) announced survey results from 300 data centre managers which reflected cuts of 15 percent, BlueSquare's only issues concern expanding capacity as the company continues to win business for both its core BlueSquare offering and Poundhost Internet. BlueSquare's Maidenhead campus has shown continual growth and now hosts three major data centres within its high security grounds. Business at the Maidenhead site grew by over 30% in 2008 alone and similar growth is expected for 2009. The BlueSquare success story has also seen jobs created and sustained; with more than 30 people now based at the campus. "What started in a converted garage in a back garden a few years ago is now a rapidly growing £7m turnover business and the ethos behind that growth has never wavered - excellent personal service, a willingness to always be flexible to individual clients and a passion to deliver," said BlueSquare Commercial Director Robin Ellis. "We are always looking for feedback from our clients - in fact we have just completed a survey of our own - and we take a pride in following up on their comments, which has been a major factor in our customer retention and word of mouth referrals - something that is worth its weight in gold in business today". BlueSquare's growth comes as the AFCOM survey shows major spending reductions in data centres elsewhere - including over 25 percent of responders planning to cut on IT equipment, more than 15 percent on IT support such as cooling systems and jobs also being put under threat.
