25th February 2008: Foundry Networks selected to provide new 10Gig ring |
In light of the growing demand for datacentre services and the data throughput that comes with increased rack sales, BlueSquare Data Services Ltd has chosen Foundry Networks to supply a new 10GBit resilient Ethernet ring between the BlueSquare Datacentre sites in Maidenhead, and the Telehouse East & Telecity Harbour Exchange sites. |

15th February 2008: Cisco provide BlueSquare with upgraded core network |
With increasing demand for high quality, low latency bandwidth, BlueSquare Data Services Ltd has today announced that it will be upgrading its core IP network to run on the new generation of Cisco 7606-S routing platforms. |

1st February 2008: BlueSquare 2 sold to capacity |
With the build of BlueSquare 3 nearing completion, BlueSquare 2 has now sold to capacity in record time. Commenting on the success of BlueSquare 2, Matthew Munson, Technical Director says: “the demand for datacentre space outside of London is continuing to grow at an alarming rate. Customers recognise that high quality, secure datacentre’s no longer have to be in the heart of the city, and connectivity back to the main internet hubs, such as the LINX PoPs that our fibre’s connect to, can now replace the traditional datacentre locations” |

6th August 2007: BlueSquare 3 build Bought Forward |
Due to the success of BlueSquare House and BlueSquare 2, the plans for BlueSquare 3 have
been brought forward and BlueSquare 3 is now due to open in November 2007.
Adjacent to BlueSquare 2, BlueSquare 3 offers an additional two floors of data centre space.
It will be linked to our existing data centres using our redundant fibre ring as well as providing
connectivity to other onsite carriers and their incoming ducts. |

1st August 2006: BlueSquare House opens for business |
BlueSquare, the only carrier neutral data centre in the South East outside the M25 has opened
for business today. With 10,000 square feet to play with, BlueSquare offers flexible packages,
including full, half and quarter racks as well as suites, cages and fully serviced offices.
BlueSquare is the vision of Technical Director, Matthew Munson, who had been working
with the industry for many years. In April 2006 Matthew teamed up with the now Directors of
BlueSquare to make this vision a reality. |
